SO OVER THE LAST TWO MONTHS THE STARTERS DJ'S (DJ MOP TOP & YOUNG LIVE) HAVE REALLY GROWN AROUND THE CITY OF CHICAGO. HOSTING VARIOUS PARTIES AND EVENTS , STARTERS DJ'S HAS GROWN THEY'RE CROWD AND NETWORK TO A MASSIVELY DIVERSE GROUP. WITH THE LIKES OF GLOBAL EVENTZ, MURDERBOT, VINCE P, GOWITHTHEFLOW, DIAMETRIC, GHOSTHOUSE AND MORE, THE DUO HAS GRACED THE TABLES AT HUGE SPOTS SUCH AS REPUBLIC, FUNKY BUDDHA LOUNGE (LADY SOVERIEGN SPECIAL GUEST), TANTRUM ( THURSDAY NIGHT TANTRUM RESIDENCY), LOFT SPACES DOWNTOWN, IN WICKER PARK, IN THE UIC AREA AND THE NEAR SOUTH SIDE. ALSO, WITH A SCHEDULED RELEASE PARTY FOR URB MAG'S 1ST MIXTAPE RELEASE "COOL BY ASSOCIATION" AND RESIDENCIES IN THE WORKS WITH RUBY AND REPUBLIC THE STARTERS DJ'S HAVE BRANDED A UNIQUE SOUND THAT FUSES GENRES TO KEEP THE FLOOR JUMPING. WITH AN ARRAY OF ORIGINAL MIXES AND SOUNDS, THE TEAM IS WELL ON THEY'RE WAY TO THE TOP.

CHICAGO'S NEW CLUB CREW (FyR*WyR) (YOUNG LIVE, DJ MOP TOP, JIMMY CON, ILL EAGLE)

In the spring of 2008 an ever-effervescent electro-hip hop band FyR * WyR will release the Dance Dance A. Revolution EP (‘GO! MEDIA) featuring remixes of Justice, Daft Punk, Shiny Toy Guns along with various original tracks, The sample mix, “’GO! With members hailing from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Connecticut, it’s no surprise that the now Chicago-based group’s sound is as diverse and eclectic as it is. Their music is an unusually refreshing take on electronic and experimental hip hop/rap and club music - colorful, inventive and yet still catchy enough for everyone to enjoy.

With an eye firmly focused on the soaring love of the “party” environment, the music of FyR * WyR reflects their shared loves - 80’s house, lyrical hip hop, new wave and far beyond.
